Very few things are as annoying as slow running drains, but it is not always easy to figure out why water isn’t moving down your pipes. There are a few signs that can give you clues that there might be a clog somewhere in your pipes. For example, when water runs down the drain, does it make a lot of gurgling noises? A clog is a possibility. The same goes for bubbling from your toilet, since air could be pushed out that direction with a clog blocking the passage somewhere else.
A slow drain, or one that backs up is another possible sign.
There are options for how you choose to remove a clog in your plumbing, but if at all possible, you should avoid using chemicals, since these can damage your pipes, septic system and the environment. Instead, you should use a plunger or a snake or something similar.
