When your shower has insufficient pressure, it turns from relaxing to frustrating. Unfortunately, this can happen because of many reasons. Maybe because of your location on the water grid or some problem in your home.

Knowing where the problem lies should be your first step. Is it a problem for all of your neighbors as well? Then the pressure coming into the area is low to start with. If you’re the only one, you might need to do some detective work in your home. Are there any valves that aren’t opened all the way? Do you have a failing pressure regulator, or is it set wrong? You might need a plumber to take a look to help you figure out what is going on.

Even when the problem is with the municipal water system, you should be able to increase the pressure using a pressure regulator. Installing this will definitely be a job for a plumber since it can be pretty complicated.
