We touch our cell phones many times throughout the day. You may even be reading this article from yours. Considering how much we use technology, it’s no surprise that a study by the University of Arizona found that cell phones carry more germs than toilet seats! So even if you’re diligent about washing and disinfecting your hands, if you aren’t also disinfecting your phone, you could be spreading germs back onto your hands.
During this pandemic, it’s even more crucial then, to disinfect the day-to-day items that leave the house with us. To deep-clean your phone without damaging it, start by making sure your hands are clean. Then spray a 70 percent isopropyl alcohol-based disinfectant onto a microfibre cloth rather than directly onto the screen to prevent damage. Wipe the device thoroughly and then let it dry. If you use a phone case, make sure to repeat this on both the case and the device itself.
